Many people argue that space exploration wastes public money because there are urgent problems on Earth. I partly agree that governments should not spend unlimited amounts on space projects, but I believe some investment is still useful.

On the one hand, countries face serious issues such as poverty, poor healthcare, and climate change. If a government has limited funds, it may seem irresponsible to spend billions on rockets while some citizens cannot access basic services. Money used for space missions could instead improve hospitals, schools, or public transport.

On the other hand, space exploration can bring practical benefits. It also encourages young people to study science and engineering, which can support future economic growth.

In my opinion, space exploration is not a complete waste of money, but it should be funded carefully. Governments should first meet essential public needs and then invest in space research that has clear scientific or practical value.
