However, universities should certainly address genuine barriers that discourage certain genders from pursuing specific subjects. These measures can gradually shift enrollment patterns organically without resorting to artificial quotas.
In conclusion, while gender equality in education is a worthy goal, enforcing equal numbers in every subject is too rigid an approach.
