Band 7 sample structure
- 1. Introduction: paraphrase task prompt in one sentence.
- 2. Overview: summarize 2-3 dominant trends without data overload.
- 3. Body 1: compare main group A vs B.
- 4. Body 2: report secondary trends and notable changes.
Why this reaches Band 7
The response groups information logically, uses precise trend verbs, and keeps a stable tense strategy. Most importantly, it highlights comparisons that matter to the reader.
Quick checklist before submission
- 1. Is there a clear overview paragraph?
- 2. Did you compare categories, not just list figures?
- 3. Did you avoid adding opinions or reasons not shown in data?
- 4. Are units, years, and percentages consistently accurate?
